Dental implants are tiny artificial replacements for tooth roots. They can be successfully used to anchor full dentures in place and the results are often life changing. All patients who require dental implants will be under the care of my amazing implant surgeon colleagues, who are specialists or have a special interest in implant dentistry. One of them is even a doctor as well as a dentist!

One of the drawbacks of conventional dentures is that they may move about when you’re talking or eating. Dental implants can solve that problem. Implant assisted dentures are stabilised with dental implants that hold your dentures firmly in position,  using small titanium screws which replicate natural tooth roots. With more securely fitting dentures, you’ll be able to eat and talk normally.

Just starting with two dental implants in your lower jaw can help secure a full denture, significantly improving your quality of life, and your ability to eat and chew foods. Dental implants can help you live your life the way you want to, and to feel happier and healthier in yourself.

Upper fixed bridges

One of the problems with losing your teeth is that you will gradually lose some of the bone supporting your gums as well. The result is that many of my patients have been told by their own dentist they do not have adequate bone to retain an implant. A medical procedure may be suggested like bone grafting or a sinus lift, but the thought of these treatments often puts people off. There is another potential answer, though: Zygoma implants. These are a special type of extra-long implant that can be anchored into the Zygomatic bone (cheekbones) instead of just the upper jaw.

We can attach a bridge of fixed teeth on the same day as the Zygoma implantation procedure. This dramatically increases patient satisfaction and allows my patients who have been suffering from severe jawbone loss to regain a normal quality of life.

Upper or Lower Fixed bridges.

I meet many patients who have already lost many of their teeth – and the outlook for their remaining teeth is bleak, mainly because of advanced gum disease. In addition, they may be struggling with uncomfortable and ill-fitting dentures.

I love to make a positive difference in my patients’ lives. So whether you have no teeth at all, or you are about to lose the few you have left, my aim is to amaze you with my design and creation of an arch (or bridge) of non-removable teeth. This can be securely attached to a minimum of four dental implants at the same time the bridge is placed. After a 3-month integration phase, the interim arch of teeth is removed and replaced with the final long-term bridge that will feel, function and look exactly as you wish. This technique is often referred to as Same Day Teeth, All-on-4®, or Same Day Smile.
